Nathan met Kenny at a city bus stop before school. Nathan would see Kenny when he would not go to seminary and ride the bus to Silverado High School. Kenny went to Laguna Hills High School but lived in our neighborhood, so he rode the city bus to school. Kenny asked Nathan why he was at the school bus some mornings and not others. Nathan told Kenny he went to early morning seminary. Kenny asked what seminary was and Nathan told him it is like Bible study. Nathan invited Kenny to seminary. Kenny came over to our house to go to Follow the Star with our family. Kenny was interested in going to seminary so I told him to be to our house by 5:30am Monday morning and we would give him a ride to seminary . I did not think Kenny would show up, but he did. Most teenage boys would not get up to go to early mornig seminary if they do not have to. Kenny went to seminary regularly and would come over to our house and hang out a lot after school.
One day I asked him if he was interested in learning more about our church, he said he was. He got permission from his parents to take the missionary dicussions at our house. Sister Dunigan and Sister Dimore taught Kenny the discussions. After taking the discussions and with the permission of his parents he was baptised into the church.
